You’ve Got Questions - We've Got Answers
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY INITIAL CONSULTATION?
An in person consultation with you and your pet will be scheduled prior to any elective surgical procedure so you can meet Dr. Wormser and ask questions pertaining to surgery and your pet’s medical care. During the consultation, Dr. Wormser will evaluate your pet, make a diagnosis, and come up with an appropriate treatment plan. A detailed cost estimate will be provided for your review. Your primary care veterinarian will be provided with a summary from the consultation to ensure your pet’s entire medical team is informed every step of the way.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I DROP MY PET OFF FOR SURGERY?
We ask that your pet arrive at the hospital between 7-8 am the morning of his/her scheduled surgery. This guarantees we have ample time to examine your pet, perform any necessary pre-operative diagnostic tests, and formulate an anesthetic protocol tailored to your pet prior to the surgical procedure. You will receive a call from Dr. Wormser with an update after your pet’s surgery is complete and every morning thereafter for the duration of your pet’s hospital stay.
CAN I GET A SAME-DAY APPOINTMENT?
Same-day or next-day appointments are often available! Additionally, the Emergency Service at Northway Animal Emergency Clinic is open 24/7 in case your pet requires immediate attention.
HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY PET'S SURGICAL PROCEDURE?
We understand that surgery can be a huge emotional and financial investment. However, this investment is often necessary to secure the health and well-being of your pet. A detailed cost estimate for your pet's surgery and hospital care will be provided at the time of the initial consultation. We ask that payment be left at the time your pet is admitted to the hospital for surgery. Northway Animal Emergency Clinic offers financing through Care Credit, which can be used for any surgical procedure.
